Meet the Doctor

Born in Houston, TX and moved to Colorado when I was five, I consider myself a native and Colorado my home.  After I graduated from Colorado Springs Christian High School, I joined the Navy and spent the next 6 years as a ballistic fire control technician on nuclear submarines. Looking back, I spent a little over 2 1/2 years of my life underwater, literally!

My family, having a great sense of humor, all decided to move from Colorado to Arkansas while I was away, so when I was honorably discharged from the military I found myself moving to NW Arkansas to be near my family. Over the next ten years, I lived in Bentonville, Fayetteville, Farmington, Siloam Springs & Bella Vista.

While in Arkansas, I owned and operated a Snap-On Tools franchise and due to the heavy lifting (and poor posture), I herniated a low back disc. The pain was excruciating! I could barely walk, sit, stand, WORK… and I tried everything. Pain pills, muscle relaxers, epidural steroid injections and was eventually told I needed a back surgery.  I told the doctor I just wasn’t comfortable undergoing a back surgery and he assured me that, surgery, was the next best step for me.

Fortunately, a friend of mine suggested that I try his chiropractor. I literally said to him, “Aren’t they quacks?” (I really did) He assured me that his chiropractor worked on disc injuries all the time and that I should try it before I threw in the towel and went for the surgery.

To make a long story endless… I went to see the chiropractor, they explained that my body was self-healing (duh), what the problem was in my spine, what they could do about it, how long it would take, costs… etc… It made a great deal of sense to me so I tried it and boy am I glad I did!

Disc injuries aren’t a cake walk, so it took a long time but in the end, that chiropractor got me back to normal without drugs or surgery and that was a big plus for me. I was so profoundly impacted by this form of healthcare that I went back to school to become a doctor of chiropractic myself.

I have always loved Colorado! I grew up here and remember with great fondness how I much I enjoyed the mountains, the snow, and the people. So when it came time to establish my own practice, my destination was Colorado, without question.

I spent a few months talking to the locals trying to decide where I wanted to be the most… and Parker won my heart, hands down! It is a progressive town filled with health-conscious people who all seem to love it here. We have great schools, a fantastic economy, good local government, awesome recreational opportunities and the friendliest and most helpful community I’ve ever seen. In short, I chose Parker because of YOU!

Thank you so very much for your input in helping me make my decision of where to live and work. You made a difficult decision surprisingly easy! I look forward to serving my new hometown!
